Steve A. Hurd, PG
President

Steve has more than 15 years experience in engineering geophysics and vibration consulting. During that time, he has managed hundreds of seismic refraction projects as well an extensive number of surface seismic shear wave, cross-hole shear wave, electromagnetic, magnetic, resistivity, and ground penetrating radar projects.
In addition, Steve has experience in the natural gas exploration and development industry in eastern Kentucky and has been involved with coal strip mine reclamation in northeastern and central Tennessee.
Steve has a B.S. in geology from Tennessee Technological University.
Michael C. Stone, PG
Vice President

After serving as a co-founder and managing partner of an Atlanta-based geophysical firm for 15 years, Mike came together with Steve Hurd to form GeoWave Solutions, Inc. With more than 25 years experience in various shallow surface geophysical methods and vibration consulting, Mike offers a geophysical background that has proven to be valuable for many of our clients.
Beyond shallow surface geophysics, Mike has experience in the offshore petroleum industry of the Gulf of Mexico.
Mike has a B.S. in geology from The University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
Matthew M. Ellers, P.G.

A Navy veteran, Matt began working in the geophysical field in 2015. During that time he has managed numerous seismic refraction, MASW, downhole shear wave, and resistivity projects. In addition to this, he manages the operation of our remote vibration monitoring program. Before working with GeoWave Solutions, Inc. Matt worked in the oilfield as a mudlogger in the Gulf of Mexico.
