On Site Vibration Monitoring

Our vibration consulting services are highlighted by our vibration monitoring program. Whether you are blasting rock in mass or trench excavations or concerned about vibration effects from heavy construction equipment or pile driving, we have the expertise and experience you are looking for.

Depending on your application, we can record and log short-burst events in waveform format, such as blasting, continuous vibration over an extended period of time in histogram format, such as construction or excavation activities, or both simultaneously.

Long term monitoring

We also offer long-term seismograph installations. These usually include projects that are ongoing and require constant vibration monitoring with little need for daily site visits and seismograph relocation.

We are GDOT certified and equipped to fulfill all your long-terms vibration monitoring needs. Whether your need is best characterized on a weekly, monthly, or multi-monthly basis, we can adapt a plan that fits your requirements and budget. In most areas, we can even install seismographs with cell modem capability for instantaneous blast event notification via email.

Pre-blast/Construction Surveys

Occasionally, due to project specifications or proximity of blasting/construction to nearby structures, pre-blast/construction surveys are warranted. We will work with you to help you determine which structures should be included in a survey program. After coordinating a schedule with the property owner, we photodocument a sampling of cracks, separations and other flaws that are pre-existing in the structure before activity on the blasting/construction site commences. This can be used to assess the overall condition of the structure and can provide comparitive data should a post blast claim arise.

Post-blast Analysis & Damage Claims

Although no contractor, locality, or homeowner wants to have a damage claim, they do occasionally arise. That is when it is most important to have a competent, third-party, vibration consultant monitoring and advising you about vibration issues throughout your project.
